PASSAGES COLLECTION | MATHON PARIS | Made in France
A collection that incorporates the Art Deco motif of the Manhattan collection, created by Catherine Mathon in 2007 and inspired by passages in Paris. It is written as the transition from one style to another, as the passage between two generations.
Launched in 2018, Passages, the first collection signed by Aude Mathon, is part of the House style fundamental. An architectural collection with geometric lines that give place to color. A color assumed and cut with the fluorescent lacquer of the Verdeau line, a color with more subtle reflections of carved ornamental stones reminiscent of the noble materials of the passage Vivienne. The Panoramas line offers a white work around mother-of-pearl marquetry, which plays on the subtleties between the iridescence of the mother-of-pearl, the brilliance of the diamond and the sharpness of the rhodium-plated white gold.
The Parisian arcades of vintage shops and brasseries dotted across the French capital called Passage inspired the Passage Collection.
